چکیده
Water-soluble polymers provide an alternative to organic solvent requirements in membrane manufacture, aiming at accomplishing the Green Chemistry principles. Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) is a biodegradable and non-toxic polymer renowned for its solubility water. However, PVA little explored processes due hydrophilicity, which reduces stability performance. Crosslinking procedures through esterification reaction with carboxylic acids can address this concern. For this, experimental design methodology statistical analysis were employed achieve optimal crosslinking conditions of citric acid as crosslinker, best permeate production sodium diclofenac (DCF) removal from The membranes produced following characterized using multiple techniques understand effect on Characterization filtration results demonstrated that regulates membranes’ properties, optimized (crosslinking 110 °C min) able remove 44% DCF water 2.2 L m−2 h−1 3 bar, comparable commercial loose nanofiltration membranes. This study contributes more profound knowledge green make treatment sustainable practice near future.

Removal of copper (II) from aqueous solutions by sodium alginate/hydroxy apatite hydrogel modified by Zeolite
The study presented in this article investigated the removal of copper ions from aqueous solutions by a synthetic hydrogel-forming adsorbent polymer based on sodium alginate (SA) and hydroxy apatite (HA) nanoparticles. The effect of adding Zeolite on the adsorption performance of this hydrogel was also investigated, and the optimum amount of Zeolite was determined by changing its quantity. The ...

متن کاملA Comparative Study of Two Indigenous Bacterial Biosorbents for Mercury Removal from Aqueous Solutions
In the present study, the capability of dried indigenous biomass of Vibrio and Oceanimonas, was assessed and compared for mercury biosorption from aqueous solutions. It was found that both of the biosorbents reached equilibrium after 60 min of contact although the mercury sorption capacity of Vibrio was significantly more. Its sorption capacity increased from 9 to 83 ...
